INFOSA is part of the global Fish Info Network, which comprises seven regional organisations (INFOPECHE in sub-Saharan Africa, INFOPESCA in Latin America, INFOFISH in Asia and the Pacific, INFOYU in China, INFOSAMAK in the Arab world, and EUROFISH in the east European region) and FAO's GLOBEFISH service as the co-ordinating unit in Rome.
As part of this network, INFOSA also offers periodicals, like INFOFISH International and the INFOSA Trade News, as well as reports, on a subscription basis.
INFOSA has its offices in Windhoek, Namibia, and serves all of the SADC member countries. During the initial three years of operation, INFOSA is financed by the Government of Norway and hosted by the Government of Namibia.
The FISH INFOnetwork supplies timely, accurate and unbiased information on international fish markets and fish trade to FAO member countries, governmental agencies, universities, research institutions, private companies and individuals. The Network is co-ordinated by GLOBEFISH at FAO headquarters in Rome.
