1962 Born in Talcahuano Pesquera El Golfo Stengel y Cia. Ltd., founded by German immigrants and Mark Walter Stengel Hinztler.

1986 The company is purchased by its current directors, Mr Manuel and Jaime Santa Cruz, Hugo Yaconi, Mario Ernesto Vinegar and Noguera.

El Golfo has two fleets of ships: Trawlers and Purse Seiners. Both have their base of operations at the Port of San Vicente (Talcahuano).

In 2005 we give life to new crops Mussel, located in Chiloe, while the 2006 start farming salmon in the archipelago of Las Guaitecas, XI region.

El Golfo has 4 processing plants where they are produced:
